DALI CI Amplifiers: Engineered for PHANTOM speaker performance

The DALI PHANTOM speakers are powered by six DALI DSP amplifiers integrated with a Lyngdorf Audio MP-40 surround processor. Each amplifier is optimised for its assigned speakers:

  • AMP-4750 DSP units drive the front and centre channels and all subwoofers

  • AMP-2500 DSP units manage the surround and height channels

Each PHANTOM speaker benefits from dedicated DSP presets, designed by DALI engineers to support tonal balance, dynamic response, and clarity. Built-in limiters protect the speakers, while fine-tuning options allow for a personalised listening experience. This integration provides reliable, consistent sound that is well suited for both residential and commercial home cinema installations.

Entering the DALI Reference PHANTOM S Home Cinema is an engaging experience. The PHANTOM S-280 front and centre speakers, with the mix of PHANTOM S-180 and S-80 as surround and rear speakers, produce a wide, open soundstage with crystal-clear dialogue, while the surround and height channels work seamlessly together to form a truly three-dimensional sound field.

The PHANTOM M-80 A height speakers play an important role in this setup, offering precise directivity that ensures accurate sound placement from above. This helps create a convincing overhead dimension that draws the listener even deeper into the cinematic experience.

The room’s low-frequency performance is equally refined. With eight in-wall PHANTOM SUB S-100 subwoofers, mounted as a front SUB array, each featuring a 10-inch driver, the system delivers deep yet exceptionally precise bass. This configuration allows for faster transient response and greater low-end accuracy compared to traditional large-box subwoofers. The result is bass that feels tight, dynamic, and perfectly integrated with the rest of the soundstage, adding weight and realism without overpowering the room.

The motorised acoustically transparent screen provides visual impact, while the Control4 system ensures that every element, from lighting to projector operation, works in harmony.
