The French ‘On Magazine’ has tested the DALI ALTECO C-1, which excites them. They note the design, and call it “clean and studied in detail.” However, it is especially the sound, which attracts their attention.
According to On Magazine, it is obvious “that despite their entry-level price, the ALTECO C-1 are not designed frugally or in a hurry.” Furthermore, they find that the speakers "are capable of very good precision and clean sound. They excel at building a well-focused sound image and that is exactly what is expected for 3D audio effects.” In their view “the height effects of the Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks are quite convincing.”
On Magazine is not only intrigued by the home theatre abilities of these height speakers, they also find them quite musical. The registers are serious and acute and very coherent, and “the emissions of the boomer and the tweeter, installed very close to each other, merge very elegantly.” Furthermore, they find that, “the voices are in particular reproduced with a beautiful naturalness and intelligibility” in the medium register.
On Magazine also recommend the ALTECO C-1 speakers as computer speakers or as a 2.1 speaker set with or without a subwoofer for the TV, because as they explain: “They are much better than many soundbars, offering a precise and well drawn sound image as well as a beautiful sound.”
The conclusion is that the DALI ALTECO C-1 places itself among the most affordable models in the category of Atmos effect loudspeakers. And “they have a good and solid design with a good level of performance and a large versitality,” On Magazine says.
