According to Trusted Reviews, the FAZON MIKRO 5.1 setup delivers a hugely enjoyable performance together with the Pioneer SC-LX87 receiver. The first thing to really notice with this setup is the beautiful high-frequency reproduction, which enhances every scene with layers of sweet rendered details. The effects coming from the action-packed Blu-ray soundtrack, Captain America: The First Avenger, are crispy making the soundstage feel more open and life-like. “Gentler effects like applause and pouring rain emerge beautifully from every speaker, wrapping you up in a cocoon of airy detail. This is one of the most insightful speaker systems we’ve tested.”
The sound performance from the MIKRO’s is clean and with a snappy midrange and together with the new and potent, SUB E9-F, which does a terrific job, the overall result is fully satisfying. “There’s excellent cohesion across the system too, showing no jarring shifts in tine as effects are steered from one channel to another, and dialogue emerges clearly.”
The FAZON MIKRO’s are also great musical partners. When playing Zara McFarlane’s gorgeous jazz number Police and Thieves, the MIKRO’s perform with great fluidity and detail. The piano chords are rich and velvety and each string is plucked in the leading edge. “The sats’ exceptional detail retrieval gives McFarlane’s voice a level of intimacy that most systems can’t match, backed up by crisp, rhythmic brushed drum beats.
